Stephen C. Target

Steve has been in the insurance and financial services industry since 1990. He is a 1989 graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Economics and has also earned both the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) designations from the American College. He also holds the Accredited Estate Planner (AEP® Designation. Additionally, he holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, 65, 26 and 24 securities registrations.

As an advisor, his career has been focused on providing counsel to help execute effective, tax favored wealth transfer plans for physicians, entrepreneurs, closely held business owners and corporate executives. With a specialty on the design and implementation of life insurance contracts, Steve has experience with Private Placement Life Insurance and Annuities. He enjoys working with families to help structure tax favored estate plans and businesses to design and implement specialized executive benefit and deferred compensation programs.

Steve is an active member of the community and currently serves as an Advisory Board Member of For Pete’s Sake Cancer Respite Foundation. Mr. Target also served The Union League of Philadelphia as a Director and Vice President for seven years and currently is still very active with The Union League Legacy Foundation. He previously was President of the Penn State University, Montgomery County Alumni Association, Past President of National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors Greater Philadelphia (NAIFA-GP), past Board Member of Society of Financial Service Professionals Greater Philadelphia. Steve is a 2014 recipient of NAIFA-GP Hall of Fame.

Steve is also a committed member of several industry organizations such as NAIFA, FINSECA, Philadelphia Estate Planning Council, Philadelphia Chapter of the Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) Steve has been married to his wife, Denise, since 1992, and has two children. His son attended Franklin and Marshall College and played on the lacrosse team and his daughter attending Penn State University and obtained her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. He resides in the suburbs of Philadelphia and his interests include golf, exercise, and watching sports.
